RASANUBHUTI offers dance and music as food for the soul.
Rasa means elixir and Anubhuti: experience .. about life and its joys.
The work revisits the beauty of Classical Kathak with a contemporary presentation, resulting in a choreography with stunning visual landscape. The presentation includes fast foot work, rapid pirouettes, complex rhythms and a touching mime. .The intricate play of movement, melody and rhythm creating a kaleidoscope of bold, mind blowing percussive dialogues and intimate, entrancing expressional compositions.
Inspired by Thumri, a sophisticated form of Urdu poetry, RASANUBHUTI creates a new grammar of movement to discover the sophistication and exuberance that emphasize the richness of this art form: Kathak.
A tribute to the cultural heritage of Kathak, which is deeply rooted in tradition yet contemporaneity.
