NRITYAANJALI – a vibrant spectacle of beauty invites the rasikas to profound and gracious ancient art of Indian dance - in a space– universe “out of time – where the gods are dancers”

Firmly rooted in tradition, Nrityaanjali brings together two of the most ancient styles of Indian Classical Dance – Bharatnatyam  from the South of India  which until the English conquest in the 17th cent was a sacred art of devotion and a part of the Hindu temple rituals of Southern India, and Kathak originating from the story telling traditions, well placed in the Mughal and Maharaja´s courts, where the rulers  themselves along with the gods were honoured by the poems interpreted by the dancers  A heritage which blossoms on stage with the creative interpretation respectively by   Tarikavalli & Lajja Sambhavnath.

Each choreography is thus executed with meticulous care, each movement embodies the sublime music, and every look takes the audience to a remote and resonant experience, thus sensitizing the senses of Rasikas.

Nrityaanjali unveils through dance, this subcontinent in the far east – INDIA, where "all the gods are dancers”
