SOLE TO SOUL is a mesmerising experience which begins from the dancer’s sole (of the foot) to reach the audience’s soul. Created with Portuguese and Indian artists , the show contemporizes the traditional Kathak vocabulary and format, by beautifully and intimately crafting dance with live and recorded music. Inspired by the story telling traditions of India, the mysticism of Sufi and the passion of musical formats of Islamic music which travelled to India in the medieval ages influencing the then form of Kathak.

 

A performance done by the sole of the dancer, off the soul of the dancer to reach for the soul of the audience.
